Rosie Huntington Whiteley breathtaking in barely there blue gown at London premiere of Transformers 3

She's had enough practice as her years as a model on the catwalk - and it seems that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is turning her movie red carpet outings into something of an art form.
The ravishing Victoria's Secret model, 24, had the crowds gasping at the London screening of her debut film Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon tonight when she turned up in a risqué midnight blue gown.

The backless satin dress, custom made for her by Burberry, was slashed almost to her navel with only modest drapes of material over her breasts to keep her decent.

Scroll down to see Rosie in the trailer for Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon...

Feeling blue: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked stunning in a sapphire blue gown that just about kept her decent at the London screening of her new movie Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon at the IMAX cinema in Waterloo tonigh

Sapphire and steel: The model looked icily cool in her stunning frock on the blue carpet at the bash

Keeping it together: Rosie had some toupé tape to keep herself decent as she posed with the movie's
director Michael Bay

Yet the star, who had her hair in a chic up-do, managed to look classy at the same time - quite a feat.
It appears that some judiciously-placed toupé tape on her top half was most definitely keeping the star from revealing more of her curves than she intended.

Just last night, she looked equally incredible in a sparkling silver gown for the German premiere of her first ever movie in Berlin.

Back to the future: Rosie, who looked sensational in the sapphire gown, is hoping to do more acting as well as continue with her modelling

Art Institutes students shine at Student Studio: Bonnaroo

A combination of art and talent exploded as The Art Institutes students worked behind the scenes at the 2011 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, June 9 – 12 in Student Studio: Bonnaroo. Student Studio: Bonnaroo is a first-of-its-kind partnership, through which students from Art Institutes schools contributed creative services to North America’s largest music festival. Art Institutes students embarked on a series of 15 festival projects ranging from creating merchandise design, to shade structure design concepts to a sustainable fashion line.

As festival attendees took in sights and sounds, Student Studio: Bonnaroo was in full effect as The Art Institutes students were busy putting final touches on dress for the first-ever Bonnaroo eco-friendly fashion show, setting up animations for the festival big screens, arranging artists’ dressing rooms, and ensuring the Bonnaroo merchandise was ready to be bought as souvenirs.

Other students saw their visions brought to life: Industrial Design students watched festival goers enjoy some shade under their shade structure design which was built on the Bonnaroo site, and Graphic Design students watched their designs walk by them on fans’ t-shirts.

Chris Issaq of Superfly Marketing Group, Bonnaroo’s marketing and partnerships division, remarked on The Art Institutes students’ presence at the festival, “The students became part of the Bonnaroo team. In truth, they were from the start. Cut from the same cloth with tremendous creativity and passion for building the ultimate experience for our community.”

Continuum creates world’s first 3D-printed N12 Bikini

Developed in partnership with Continuum Fashion, the N12 is the first fully 3D printed Bikini, ready to wear and available for purchase from the Conitnuum's Shapeways Shop.

Designed by Continuum Fashion, the N12 if the first completely 3D-printed, ready-to-wear, item of clothing. Previous experiments into the use of 3D printing in clothing have remained purely experimental, haute couture items not available to purchase. This represents the first affordable design that will lead the way for more items fabricated using 3D printing technologies.

“The bikini's design fundamentally reflects the beautiful intricacy possible with 3D printing, as well as the technical challenges of creating a flexible surface out of the solid nylon. Thousands of circular plates are connected by thin springs, creating a wholly new material that holds its form as well as being flexible. The layout of the circle pattern was achieved through custom written code that lays out the circles according to the curvature of the surface. In this way, the aesthetic design is completely derived from the structural design.” Mary Haung, Continuum Fashion

The N12 is named after Nylon 12 (WSF), the material in which the bikini is 3D printed. Nylon 12 makes an ideal swimsuit material as it is innately waterproof. As well as being the first printed bikini, it is also the first bikini that actually becomes more comfortable when it gets wet.
