MANGO, Spain’s most international fashion brand, has entrusted Isabeli Fontana as the image for its new Autumn campaign. The firm has chosen the beautiful model for her extraordinary beauty and naturalness. Her style represents the ideal woman that MANGO wishes to dress: an urban, working and independent woman.


The photo shoot took place in a studio in Paris under the orders of the acclaimed photographer Terry Richardson, who managed to immortalise the exotic beauty of Isabeli to perfection. The model, who said that she felt very honoured and satisfied with this collaboration as the new image of MANGO, declared: I had a great time working with Terry. He is really great because he lets me move and be myself in order to create this person, this stylish, yet modern and dynamic woman. Consequently, it is always a pleasure to be around him. The styling was done by Anastasia Barbieri, while the make-up and hair styling was the responsibility of Charlotte Tilbury and Christiaan, respectively. 


The Brazilian model was photographed over a white background to emphasize the creativity of Terry Richardson and, above all, to make the clothes the main protagonist. The outfits reveal a sexy woman who is able to combine her masculine and feminine side to perfection. The colour palette focuses on black tones with white touches in the prints.

First Lady Michelle Obama stays cool in the summer heat while wearing CHRIS BENZ' Resort Nelda Dress for her appearance on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Thursday, July 21st, 2011.


The episode, which is set to air in October, focuses on redesigning and expanding a North Carolina community resource center for homeless female veterans.


The CHRIS BENZ collection is a reflection of Chris' Seattle upbringing and his ability to transform his influences to create a unique American style. His collection reflects the ease and carefree attitude one can expect from a true American Sportswear collection, which is made in the USA. In February 2007, Chris Benz presented his first ready-to-wear collection to high acclaim from fashion press and retailers during New York Fashion Week.


Chris grew up in Seattle, before arriving in New York City at the age of seventeen to study at Parsons School of Design. He graduated in 2004 winning the prestigious CFDA Emerging Designer Award. While at Parsons, Chris interned with Marc Jacobs where he reinforced his Parsons curriculum with the fundamentals of design. After graduation, Chris joined the dynamic J. Crew team as Designer of Dresses and Special Occasion.

Pamela Anderson designs Couture Stocking Collection

The Pamela Couture Stocking Collection by Secrets in Lace is changing the “stocking wearing attitude.”


Pamela Anderson is proving stockings are no longer passé with her new leg wear collection. Pamela Anderson has signed a global licensing agreement with world famous stocking designer Secrets in Lace to create, market and distribute her leg wear line, the Pamela Couture Collection of authentic nylon stockings.


“I am very pleased with the initial collection – I love every one of the styles because they cover every fashion occasion,” Anderson said.


Recently other stylish ladies like Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, Hayden Panettiere, Mischa Barton and Sarah Jessica Parker have been spotted wearing sheer stockings.


However, Secrets in Lace is not a stranger to this fashion trend revival. Designing and producing authentic stockings since 1984, Secrets in Lace understands how to create a product for its customers that expresses their femininity while remaining classy and elegant.


“We are very excited to work with Pamela Anderson on her collection because she brings a balanced blend of propriety and sexiness to the design studio,” Daniel Whitsett, President of Secrets In Lace, said.

Gwen Stefani to design kids apparel range for Target

Gwen Renée Stefani, the 41-year-old American singer-songwriter turned fashion designers, will be launching a new children’s collection dubbed Harajuku Mini in alliance with Target.


The star debuted with her clothing line L.A.M.B. in 2003 and expanded her collection with the 2005 Harajuku Lovers line, drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and fashion. Her clothing lines have been a great success and have silenced all the critics of her fashion labels.


Harajuku Mini would be available in outlets all across the US on November 13, 2011, while its second collection is scheduled to hit outlets in January next year.

In her statement announcing the tie up with Target, Stefani said that designing the kids apparel collection was like a dream come true for her as she always was willing to design a cool kids fashion collection, enthused by the super-cute and frisky children’s wear found in Japan.


Presently, though no outlines of the collection have been made public, she did extend a clue that the designs would portray the bold looks that her two young sons – Kingston who is five and Zuma who is almost three – normally wear.

Biondi Couture ropes in Alexandra Wilson

The designer swimwear shop and bespoke fitting and design service based off London’s King’s Road, designed specialist bikinis, Beach wear for Alex’s appearance at the Fitness America competition in Miami in 2009 – which was her first competition.


Hannah Smith, advisor for the bespoke range and store manager said: “We’ve always offered bespoke swimwear, but Alex was the first customer to approach us for costumes to wear in fitness competitions. Since then, other competitors have approached us, which has prompted us to offer this new service. We design the outfits in conjunction with the customer to make sure that it’s absolutely right for their personality and the image they want to convey - whether it’s covered in jewels or something more simple.”


Alex, originally from Northern Ireland, is a personal trainer and nutrition expert. Since entering the competitive circuit she has quickly attracted attention from the media, sports brands, and followers alike. She has been featured in numerous modeling shots and articles in a variety of magazines (Women’s Fitness, Ultra Fit, WBFF’s Fit and Firm, ExtraFit and Fitnorama), and is a Gaspari sponsored athlete. 


More recently, international fitness celebrity Jennifer Nicole-Lee has selected her to be one of the elite group of fitness models to accelerate their careers through her Fitness Model Factory. Alex’s next competition is the WBFF in Toronto on the 27th August.

Commercial success for LYCRA Beauty Fabric Program

INVISTA, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of fibers and polymers, showcased highlights of LYCRA fabric commercial adoptions from international intimate apparel brands at Mode City in Paris, July 9-11. 


As of June 2011, more than 40 brands, ranging from true shapewear players, high-end fashion or mainstream brands from around the world adopted INVISTA’s innovative LYCRA beauty fabrics program for shaping intimates. The program launched with great success for intimate apparel at Mode City in September 2010. 


Before the launch, INVISTA commissioned global research to understand what women consider to be important attributes in their shapewear, and how well their expectations were met. The study revealed a large gap between the importance of attributes and the level of their consumer satisfaction across the shapewear market. 


“We are proud to report that not even one year after its launch, internationally renowned intimate apparel brands such as Bali, La Perla, Spanx and Wacoal are already featuring LYCRA beauty fabric in their shaping designs,” said Alistair Williamson, INVISTA Apparel’s managing account director for intimate apparel and swimwear in Europe and North America. “Furthermore, less than a year after the launch, we have issued close to 3 million LYCRA beauty fabric hangtags—a clear indication that our dedicated shapewear offering is addressing a market need.” 


This year, the LYCRA beauty platform is expanding to meet the consumers’ increased desire for shaping and comfort with a wider selection of intimate apparel materials, ranging from delicate lace or ultra-lightweight fabrics to seamless garment construction technology.

SKYY Vodka & Diesel to reveal sexy new swimsuit collection

SKYY Vodka and Diesel will reveal a sexy new swimsuit collection as a part of Diesel’s opening night show this week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. Special guest on the runway, Kristin Cavallari (The Hills), will unveil Diesel and SKYY Vodka’s Capsule Collection: four eye-catching pieces inspired by the vodka’s iconic cobalt blue bottle and logo graphics, infused with strong Diesel DNA.

Following the Diesel runway show, Cavallari and DJ Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), will join SKYY, the vodka of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim, as it presents the Official Kick-Off Party at The Raleigh Hotel, which will also showcase décor themes of Diesel Island, the fashion brand’s latest campaign.

The exclusive Diesel runway show, taking place at 7 PM on Thursday, July 14 at the Cabaña Grande venue at The Raleigh, will feature a limited-edition collection of men’s and women’s Diesel-designed swimwear inspired by SKYY. The centerpiece of the show will be the unique, show-stopping piece modeled by Cavallari.

HIS ‘n’ hers hoodi? No problem. A cowboy hat? Easy. An elegant, floor-length gown? Of course.


High fashion, low fashion, no fashion. Only one woman can look just as good in all of them – the new Queen of Style, Kate.


Glammed-up in couture or roughing it in a canoe, the Duchess of Cambridge is fashion royalty – but how does she do it? And do normal women – with no Prince on the horizon – have any hope of doing the same? Good news girls, the answer is definitely yes.


Kate looks stunning in a designer dress, but she knows how to wear high-street style too and her simple style tricks don’t need a royal budget to pull off.

7. Practical but still glam

Few people could look stylish in an oversized red hoodie, but Kate did.

Teamed with skinny jeans and flats, she kept it looking cute.


8. Subtle details draw the eye

This could have been a boring shift dress but the shoulder detail keeps it lively and the pulled-in waist accentuates curves. Look and learn.


9. Don't take theming too far

The maple-leaf brooch is simple and understated. But the red hat... well, you decide. I'm not a fan.


10. Belts create a waist

Kate's go-to fashion trick. Nearly every dress has a belt to show off her best bits. Works every time.
And what one mustn't do...


No one in the history of the world has looked good in chef's whites. Swerving the hat is a saving grace.
