Sporty Bump unveils chic new maternity fitness trousers

Sporty Bump, the UK’s first dedicated maternity sportswear brand, is expanding its range of quality pregnancy sportswear to include a pair of maternity fitness trousers.

Reacting to customer demand, the wide-leg trousers have been designed specifically for pregnant women and those exercising to regain their pre-pregnancy shape.

Perfect for exercise such as yoga and Pilates, the affordable-yet-stylish trousers feature a roll-over waistband designed to wear on- or over-the-bump.

With a choice of two inside leg lengths (31” and 33”), a perfect fit is promised throughout pregnancy and beyond and women can feel confident that the length of the trousers will not be compromised by their growing bump.

Available in Sporty Bump’s signature classic black colour-way, the trousers are destined to become a wardrobe staple for pregnant women – ideal for exercise, but equally suitable as a general trouser throughout each trimester.

Sporty Bump’s spokesperson, Lesley Singleton, comments, “Our ethos has always been to provide pregnant and post-natal women with a stylish, comfortable range of sportswear and the new maternity trousers are in keeping with our aim – women were telling us they loved the collection, but that comfortable, affordable, long-lasting, bump-accommodating trousers were still tricky to find.

“We’re confident our designers have created the ultimate practical, stylish trouser, which will stand the test of time whilst perfectly complementing the rest of the Sporty Bump range.”

Lingerie and Sportswear pavilions make debut at BIFF&BIL

In keeping with its refreshed look, the over two-decade mega fashion event in Thailand, the Bangkok International Fashion Fair and the Bangkok International Leather Fair, will be introducing two new pavilions dedicated solely to lingerie and sportswear within its ‘Apparels Fair’ this year.

With 36 exhibitors in the Sportswear Pavilion, buyers and fashion professionals from overseas will be able to get a preview of the Spring/Summer 2012 - 13 sportswear collections from leading local manufacturers such as Hi-Tech Apparel Co., Ltd., Hong Seng Knitting Co., Ltd., Liberty Garment Co., Ltd., Nan Yang Garment Co.., Ltd., Nice Group Holding Corp., Ltd., Oriental Garment Co., Ltd., Thong Thai Textile Co., Ltd. and VT Garment Co., Ltd.

Sportswear manufacturers in Thailand are now using some of the latest technology in both production and fabrics such as ‘ultra sonic’ and ‘welding‘ manufacturing techniques and functional fabrics that provide UV protection and good ventilation. As a result, they have gained international recognition and trust from several European league football teams from the UK, Italy and Spain as well as the J League of Japan to produce their official shorts and jerseys. Production of sportswear has great growth potential as it is categorized as a technical product, requiring specialized know-how.

Meanwhile, the Lingerie Pavilion will add a considerable dose of glamour and ‘sexiness’ to BIFF&BIL 2011. Consisting of 30 exhibitors, visitors to the Pavilion will have the opportunity to see not only licensed men’s and women’s products of international brands, but also inspiring lingerie and sleepwear designs of homegrown brands such as Annebra, BSC, Jintana, J Press, Kullastri, Kyra, Sabina and 3 Angels, to name but a few.
