Eco Swim By Aqua Green, Cotton cover ups in demand in 2012

ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN sells sexy and sustainable swimwear in a wide variety of styles and cuts designed to fit and delight any and every taste and body type. As the 2012 swimwear season approaches, ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN predicts the hottest styles for 2012 beachwear.

Scuba sport inspired eco suits in one- and two-piece cuts, color-blocked pink and turquoise bikinis, and suits with retro black and white polka dots have been among the most requested styles by top fashion editors around the country, and ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN expects to see these styles on models in many national media outlets.

“ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN is getting incredible brand exposure. We expect that some of our best styles will send ripples throughout the industry,” says Alex Waldman of ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN

The swimwear brand’s retail partners have already voted with their dollars and made their purchasing decisions for the 2012 season, and shoppers can expect to see the brand’s innovative cotton cover ups in heather gray and neutral khaki on store shelves.

“A matching coverup is the most essential accessory to the perfect suit,” reports Waldman. “And we’re now able to offer the same eco-friendly style in coverups that we’ve offered in swimwear since the beginning,” says Waldman.

Long gone are the days of choosing between a one piece and a bikini. 2012 will be the season of flexible styling, and ECO SWIM BY AQUA GREEN predicts tankinis, boy shorts-inspired suits, and swim dresses will take the center stage. “Of course, the tried and true one and two piece suits will be favorites, too,” says Waldman. “The classic look of a classic fit just can’t be beat,” says Waldman.

Oscar Fashion: Nominee Michelle Williams Launches a 2012 Coral Color Craze (Poll)

But at the Sunday's Oscars, she sizzled like a young starlet in a strapless black velvet Atelier Versace gown with a way-more-than-thigh-high slit. And she worked that slit like a red-carpet pro for the photographers, posing solo as well as doing the usual happy-couple stance with Brad Pitt.

But it is Pitt's night (he's nominated for best actor in Moneyball) after all. And he's going head-to-head with his pal George Clooney, also nominated for his starring role in The Descendants.

Win or lose, Clooney gets to go home with Stacy Keibler and Pitt heads back to the brood with Jolie. Lucky guys and lucky girls, right?

BTW, we hear that Jolie made the final call on what she would wear tonight by putting all the choices on pieces of paper stuffing them in a hat and picking, with all the family there. Sweet.

A dramatic & sensual dark glamour for Gucci woman

Gucci brand presents their autumn/witnter collection at Milan Fashion Week. For Autumn Winter 2012-2013, the Gucci woman defines new facets of femininity. “This is modern-day romanticism,” explains Creative Director Frida Giannini, “A dramatic sensuality, a dark glamour. With subtle games of provocative intellect.” Like a muse with a tormented soul, who is liberated in her provocation. Refined pairings of seemingly lived-in pieces with military accents and new objects of desire. Leaving a trail of fatal seduction.

Silhouette
A symphony with a crescendo of fearless femininity and dandy indulgence. Revisited tapestry textiles, garment and floral prints blossoming in the jacquard designs, in the applications of embroidery and printed silks. Long, dreamy dresses, short harness jackets and equestrian-style pants. Daring in a game of contrasts. Shaded black, forest green, plum. Oversized coats, smoking jacket, and chiffon inserts on the blouses with harnesses. Uniform-inspired dress coats and soft velvet skirts. Exotic animal prints, dark feathers and leather capes. Tight waistlines with belted dresses and soft bows on the pajama-style suits. Through to pleated ruffles that ascend on the silhouette. Up to the neck, brushing against it like the cup of a flower.

Evening
Intangible femininity caresses the skin. With long dresses in double layers of wrinkled tulle. Embroidered with floral patterns of micro crystals and sequins masterfully sewn by hand. Three-dimensional flowers, worked onto the body for new Pre-Raphaelite goddesses.

Good business climate at PV Pluriel fashion event

The global offer presented by Première Vision Pluriel demonstrates its strength by once again this season bringing together over 55,000 fashion industry professionals at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte. In a European climate already suffering from a fall in domestic consumption, Première Vision Pluriel in Paris wins over markets thanks to an offer focused on quality and creativity. Some 1,550 exhibitors met the demand coming in particular from markets outside of Europe on the hunt for strong added-value.

With 287 exhibitors and 12,237 visitors - up 8% compared with February 2011 - the 22nd edition of the LE CUIR A PARIS show closed on a positive note. The show strengthened its position with the new area called Bespoke by LE CUIR A PARIS. For its inaugural edition it welcomed 9 companies offering applications on leather using either traditional or innovative techniques for the creation of bespoke items.

Valaya closes WIFW in Azrak style with Kangana Ranaut

The year 2012 is a special one for JJ Valaya as it marks the completion of 2 decades in the world of Indian luxury for the brand. Several celebrations are lined up through the year but this, the very first one is indeed special as it puts together an all new line of ready-to-wear and showcases it as the Grand Finale for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Fall Winter 2012.

He closed WIFW with actress Kangana Ranaut.

Azrak in Turkish means ‘rare and uncommon’; a befitting title for this collection as it stands inspired by some exceptional and unrivalled arts from the Ottoman Empire. Primarily based on art forms on Ceramic, Fabrics, Paper, Leather and Wood, the collection takes one on a journey of a rich and perhaps forgotten era albeit, in a modern and crisp manner.

JJ Valaya, as often before, re-ignites his love for the past and goes back to a host of Topkapi archives to put together a collection which sets itself apart by interestingly combining history with key elements of a classic urban wardrobe. "Celebratory, modern, nostalgic" are his own words for a collection that sidesteps the predictable in favor of a mildly quirky yet vastly acceptable range of contemporary separates.

Starting with a monochromatic palate in ivories and black, the collection gradually treads into color territory whilst all along deliciously delving into unusual art and craft based forms such as Mother of pearl inlay, Turkish miniatures, Iznik Ceramics, Dramatic weaves of the Sultan’s robes, exotic birds and graphic calligraphy! Jackets in quilted modern numbers with traditional detailing find themselves paired with breeches and custom print leggings. Denim makes an appearance, too, but not in its predictable avatars but more as details in harmony with lush velvets and gossamer silks.

Specially created prints rule supreme with accents of the famed Valaya embroideries and fine details which truly position this collection as ‘The Couture of Pret’. In fact, whilst the prints look well in tune with this season's appetite for ethnic exotica, the textures and patterns undoubtedly project a focused statement of a gracious mix of history with relevance.
